Carl Jr. is the best Trackmania player ever. Not only being insanely fast, but his ability also to perform well when it matters the most is outrageous. In that regard, he’s always been ahead of everyone he faced through the years which also makes him a true athlete.
His performances also rapidly gave him praise beyond the Trackmania sphere. Having face him a few times when I played pro Trackmania, we’ve always been in contact. And after a first contract in 2017, Carl contacted me again in 2020 for a skin design for the new game. I did not wait long to accept the offer and rest it history. Inspired from the Asiimov artworks, the original colors were Orange – White and Black. And we decided with Carl to do more skins with different color schemes. The design was the first one to include bottom light around the carbon body and a colored Speedometer. Innovation is key to me and I always thrive to produce something different that sticks out. Quickly after the release of the skin, it became a common thing from other creators as well.
At the Trackmania Awards, the skin was later elected as the 2020 skin of the year.
